Janelle Marie (Jones) Leary, 46, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018. She was born to Wayne and Marie Jones on February 17, 1972 in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
Janelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Indianapolis. She worked as a registered nurse at Riley Children’s Hospital for 12 years. She recently was working at Community South Hospital and Johnson Memorial Hospital. Janelle was very passionate about her work, and taking care of children during her time at Riley. She had a knack for interior designing; always changing the way things looked in her home when she had a new idea. She loved photography, and trying to capture the perfect moments. Janelle loved baking all kinds of different dessert’s. Especially the candy cane cookies or butter bars for her annual Christmas Eve get together. Janelle enjoyed the holiday seasons. One of her favorites being Halloween but she always out did herself for Christmas. She enjoyed watching horror movies and decorating her house during the holidays. Janelle was always up for a movie night or a game night with her family. Always bringing piles and piles of low budget films and a stack of games to last you a week. She loved getting everyone together to have a good time.
Janelle is survived by her two daughters, Janaé Jones of Indianapolis and Jayde Leary of Greenwood; her significant other of 20 years, Gordon Leary; her father, Wayne Jones; two sisters, Jennifer (Jim) Bruce of Greenwood and Jolene (Mike) Halper of Indianapolis; a brother, Joseph (Dana) Jones of Greenwood; her grandmother, Irene Raymond of Derry, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
Janelle was preceded in death by her mother, Marie (Raymond) Jones, and her uncle, Tommy Raymond.
