Jane Wilcox Smith of Cumming, GA was born in Rome, GA on February 13, 1925 and passed away on April 11, 2010. The daughter of the late Janie Simpson Wilcox and Dr. C. R. Wilcox, Sr. She attended Cooper Hall School and Shorter College in Rome, GA. She graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and in later years served on the University General Alumni Association. After graduation she worked for the American Red Cross at SE Area Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. During her residence in Atlanta, GA she served on the Sheltering Arms Day Nursery Board and as President of the Iris Garden Club.
