Jane Weymouth Duncan, 92, of LaSalle, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at her home surrounded by her children. Mrs. Duncan was born September 29, 1925 in Janesville, Wisconsin to Ruth Acheson Weymouth and Max Howard Weymouth. They lived in Avalon, Wisconsin.

Jane graduated from Janesville High School and received her R.N. degree from Wesley Memorial Hospital, Chicago. Jane became a Catholic on Holy Saturday 1949 receiving the Sacraments of Penance, Holy Communion and Confirmation from Cardinal Francis Spellman of Boston.  She married Robert J. Duncan, M.D. of LaSalle on November 6, 1948 at St. Andrew’s Church, Delavan, Wisconsin. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, LaSalle; Deer Park Country Club; a Charter Member of “Meals on Wheels”; Illinois Valley Garden Club; D.A.R; the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sodality at St. Patrick’s Church and a 64 year volunteer nurse for the Illinois Valley American Red Cross.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laura Duncan of Chicago and Marcia (Mychael Swan) Bothe of Scottsdale, AZ and Heron Lake, MN; one son, James R. (Vicki) Duncan of Peru; four grandchildren, Rick Feltes of Brooklyn, NY; Max Duncan of Dallas, TX and Birdie and Moose Duncan of Peru. Also surviving are step-grandchildren, Keenan (Katie) Campbell, Kwynn (Whitney) Campbell, Karissa (Joel) Hopkins, Douglas Campbell, McKlaire (Ypo) Salinas and step great-grandchildren, Murphy and Knox Hopkins and Aden Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert J. Duncan on December 25, 2010; one son, Robert Gerard; her parents and her brother, Robert Acheson Weymouth. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Thomas N. Duncan, Attorney John Duncan III, Daniel Lawler, Bob “Wammy” Wamhoff, David Haskins, Dar Planeaux and Tom Hotopp and her good friend and neighbor, Frank Strell.
