Jane LuEllen (Welling) Dickens, 72, of Westminster, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the Dove House. Born July 14, 1943 in Taneytown, she was the daughter of the late Donie Martha Grimes and William G. Welling, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Richard Dickens, Sr.
She was a homemaker and also worked 12 years as a church secretary for Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren and Church of the Ascension. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Lisa Jane Dickens Golliday and husband Dan of Fairfield, PA and Kristen E. Dickens of Westminster, a son Charles R. Dickens Jr. and wife Amanda of Fannettsburg, PA, a brother William G. Welling, Jr. and wife Wilma of Westminster, grandchildren Jackson and Gabriel Dickens, Benjamin, Jessica and Nathan Golliday, a niece Susan W. Kelly and great-nieces Victoria and Morgan Kelly.
She was predeceased by a brother Niles Francis Welling.
