Jane Vaughan was born in Arley, Missouri on April 22nd, 1928, and passed away on December 24th, 2020, in Centennial, Colorado. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Weber Vaughan (Carmella Ramsey) of Nashville, Tennessee, daughter Laura Fick (Jim Fick) of Centennial, Colorado, 5 grandchildren, Willa, Velvet, Talia, Gianna and January, and 2 great grandchildren, Vivianna and Matteo.
Jane was the eldest child of Graydon and Ada Weber, and has a younger sister, Patricia Don Carlos, who lives in Oklahoma. They lived in Arley, Missouri, a tight knit farming community, with Graydon’s large, extended family close by. After graduating high school, she attended William Jewell College, and worked in Kansas City after college.
Jane worked as a secretary in the office at Red Comet, a unique fire extinguisher manufacturer in Littleton in the early days of the marriage, and later worked in the Littleton office of Dr. Sam Langstaff. Her typing skills were renowned.
Ken and Jane formed a bond with their neighbors in Littleton that lasted a lifetime, many of whom became like extended family. They moved to Harper, Kansas in the early 70s when they accepted a business proposal from neighbors Tom and Georgia Wedman. The business, Green Line, Inc., a farm implement manufacturer, was a success, and they both worked there until they retired, at which time they moved back to Colorado.
The Vaughan family always celebrated the Holidays and birthdays in Littleton with Ken’s parents, Ken H.
Jane loved her family and friends, was always ready and willing to join in any festivities, share good advice, and be a sounding board for life’s issues.
