Jane VanZandt, 56, of VanZandt Lane, Emlenton, Route 58, Richland Twp., Clarion County, died Monday afternoon, October 5, 2009, at Golden Living in Shippenville following a lengthy illness. Born on June 12, 1953 in Brookville, she was the daughter of Wayne A. and Jean C. McMillan Alcorn. Mrs. VanZandt loved animals. She enjoyed watching stock car races, especially those races in which her sons participated. She enjoyed fishing, shopping, and yard sales, and especially the company of her grandchildren. Jane was married on July 10, 1976 in St. Petersburg to William R. VanZandt who survives. Surviving are two sons, Robert W. Alcorn and his girlfriend, Anna Hall of St. Petersburg, Michael David VanZandt and his wife Ruthy of Rimersburg, and three grandchildren, Kevin M. VanZandt of Callensburg, Tricia Ann Hall and Austin Eaton. The following brothers and sisters and their families survive, Cicelia Gourley of Clarion, Katherine Hurrelbrink of Marble, Harry Alcorn of Emlenton, Dale Alcorn of Knoxdale, Shirley Klingler of Oil City, and Steve Alcorn of Brookville, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
