Secore, Jane of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 81. Born on May 1, 1933, in Newburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Clara Smith Edgar. Jane was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wappingers Falls for many years and held several posts there. She was a graduate of Arlington High School in 1951 and was happily married to her husband, Charles B. Secore for 62 years. She worked at Lucky Platt in Poughkeepsie, IBM, The Moreno Institute, St. Cabrini Group Home, Piggot’s Farm Market, and served as a Literacy Tutor. Jane loved being in the company of family and friends. Her hobbies include reading, journaling, attended excercise classes and brain games. Survivors include; her husband Charles B. Secore at home, three children, Cynthia Yalanis and her husband Phillip, Chris and his wife Vanessa Secore of Hilton Head, SC., and Glen and his wife Rebecca of Wappingers Falls, four grandchildren, Phillip Yalanis Jr. and his wife Christine, Danielle Brooks and her husband Peter, Andrew Secore, and Lauren Secore, and a great-grandchild Kara Yalanis, two sisters, Joyce Schickler of Charleston, RI, and Brenda (Joe) Ginardi of Clifton Park, as well as several nieces and nephews.
