Jane Marie Robinson, 76, of Markleville, passed away on January 21, 2020 at home with family.

She was born on August 12, 1943 in Tipton, and resided most of her life in Markleville. Jane graduated from Ball State Teachers College (now Ball State University) in 1963, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She worked at Eli Lilly after college, then worked as an aide at Markleville Elementary school. Jane then became the Executive Secretary for Stoops Express and Burlington Motors Carriers for 26 years. Not happy with retirement, she then worked for Star Systems and kept books for family friends. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Jane will be remembered and missed by many for her constant smile, strength, grace and joy for life. She was devoted to her family and rarely missed an event or gathering. She enjoyed traveling with and to visit family and friends. Jane was an avid sports fan, a Colts season ticket holder and loved watching any kind of ballgame on TV. What she loved most was attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events throughout the years and simply being with Mike and their family.

Jane is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Michael Edward Robinson of Markleville; children, Kristina (Tom) Robinson O’Brien of Vernon Hills, IL, James M. (Marcy) Robinson of Belews Creek, NC, Julie (Steve) Robinson Plitt of Loveland, OH; grandchildren, Taylor (Gina) Robinson, Bryce (Becca) Plitt, Sydney Robinson, Drew Plitt, Marie Plitt, Karina Johnson, Chloe Johnson; step-grandchildren, Maggie O’Brien and Michael O’Brien; great-grandchildren, Daxton Robinson, Lola Tuttle; siblings, John (Marylou) Zaloudek, Margo (Dwaine) Underwood; several beloved Robinson sisters and brothers-in-law.
