Jane Marie Domer entered heaven on January 26, 2015. Born Janina Lachiewicz on September 19th, 1912 to Catherine and Joseph Lachiewicz in Perth Amboy, NJ. Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband Maxwell and son, Stephen as well as brothers, Joseph, Frank, Ben, Andrew “Whitey” and sisters Stella Moran and Sophie Johnson.
Jane moved to Glendora, California with the Rubel family in 1935 and met and married J. Maxwell Domer in 1937. Mother-in-law Hazel Domer, was the librarian for the City of Glendora for 30 years. Jane was very active in the community and she and Max were original members of St.
Jane was a member of the Glendora Women’s Club, The Toy Loan and PTA for both Roosevelt Elementary and Pomona Catholic High.
Jane is survived by her son George A. “Tony” Domer (Lynn) and daughter Kathleen M. Passmore (David) and grandchildren Robyn, Renee (Roger), Eric, Lisa, Meghan, Ken (Kim) and great-grandchildren Katharyne, Nina, Mercedes, Hunter, Cassie, Max, Molly, Lily and great-great-granddaughter Alice. As well as nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Rose and special neighbor Cheryl.
Jane lived to be 102 but, don’t tell her we told! She led a happy and active life. She loved to read and look out her front window. Her passions were her grandchildren, cooking, gardening and the color pink. Now she is with her many friends and family whom have gone before her. We are sure they wondered what took her so long to join the party. Jimniy Crickets Granny, we will miss you and love the dickens out of you!
