Jane (Adams) Layman, 84, of Kingwood, WV, died on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at her home.

Jane was born November 10, 1931, in Tyrone, PA, a daughter of the late Gilbert Lloyd Adams and Mary (Morrissey) Maule.

Jane was employed with the Preston County Senior Center as a secretary; she was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Kingwood. She liked to read, crochet and most of all loved taking care of her grandchildren.

Jane is survived by one son and spouse, Rick and Darlene Layman of Masontown; one daughter and spouse, Vicki and Greg Harris of Kingwood; two brothers and spouse, Danny and Darlene Maule, Bobby Maule, all of Tyrone, PA; one son-in-law, Roger Britton of Kingwood; one sister-in-law, Marilynn Morrissey of Danville, IN; seven grandchildren and spouses, Lisette and Pat Zinn, Larissa Layman, Brittany and Steven Shaffer, Shawn and Kylee Britton, Dustin Britton, Ryan Harris, Sydney Harris; seven great-grandchildren, Adam, Abigail and Audrey Zinn, Addison and Owen Shaffer, Hadlee and Sawyer Britton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leslie “Red” Layman; one son, Leslie Randall “Randy” Layman; one daughter, Nancy Britton; one brother, William “Bud” Morrissey.

Friends will be received on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, from 1:00 p.m.
