Jane Smith Moore, 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Jane was born on November 11, 1930, to Elbert and Ruth Boyd Smith in Douglas County. They moved to Coweta County where she met and married the love of her life, Joseph Landon Moore, Jr., on May 7, 1949. They raised three children who they taught to be respectful and honest. Both parents modeled a dependable and strong work ethic for them to follow. The family served the Lord faithfully at Mills Chapel Baptist Church. In her later years she was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Jane was employed at Platex International for over thirty years with an exceptional attendance record. After retirement she was employed at Walmart as a greeter. She enjoyed working, meeting people and being a help to them. Jane was known for her ready smile, generous spirit, and sweet nature. She appreciated the simple things and was delighted just to have a visit from friends and family. After raising her children, she took care of her mother when she could no longer live alone. She was also a grandmother to eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She loved and was proud of each one of them and helped care for them. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Ruth Smith, her husband of 48 years, Joseph Landon Moore, Jr, her brothers Ralph Smith, Otis Smith, Robert Smith and sisters Mary Smith Reed and Martha Smith Williams, daughter-in-law Faye Stanford Moore and grandson Brandon Culpepper. She is survived by her brother, Harvey Smith, children Ronald Moore (Diane), Larry Moore (Dorothy), and Linda Moore Culpepper (Tommy); 8 grandchildren, Stanford Landon Moore (Patrick), Elizabeth Ruth Moore, Lauren Moore Hutchens (John), Lindsay Moore Spinks (Joe), Joseph Landon Moore III, Jennifer Culpepper Couch (Wil), Brittany Culpepper Buce (Frank), and Gene Culpepper (Amber) and 9 great grandchildren, John Michael Hutchens, Christian Hutchens, Logan Hutchens, Elijah Spinks, Luke Spinks, Nathan Phillips, Audrey Phillips, Kaden Couch, and Trey Buce.
