Annie Jane Hardigree Smith
Annie Jane Hardigree Smith, age 76, of Union Point, Georgia died on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Greene Point Health and Rehabilitation. Born October 5, 1937 in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lamar Hardigree and Floy Huff Hardigree. She attended school in Oconee County and in 1954 married Jimmy Linton Smith. She worked with her husband at Jimmy’s Dairy Bar in Union Point and Jimmy’s 5 & 10, but most of all she was a homemaker raising her three sons.
Jane is survived by three sons, Jeffery Linton Smith and wife Marlene of Greensboro, GA, Mark Lamar Smith of Greensboro, GA, and James Todd Smith of Greensboro, GA; four grandchildren, Cristin Fanning and husband Bryan, Jared Smith, Avery Jayne Smith, and Max Smith; two great grandchildren, Marlie Fanning and Emma Fanning; a number of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Hardigree.
