Jane Hahn Franklin, 88, of Manchester, CT, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2017 in Manchester following a short illness. She was married for 66 years to the late Robert H. Franklin (Bob). Born on February 13, 1928, in Hartford, CT, Jane was the daughter of Ray Lester and Elizabeth (Steer) Hahn. She was raised in Windham, CT, graduating from Windham High School in 1944 at the age of 16. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1948 with a BA in English. While at UConn she was a sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma and met the man she would later marry. In later years both she and Bob were avid fans of both the Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams and were proud of the winning records each accumulated.
