Obituary of Jane G. Rockwood
Jane Gray Rockwood, age 87 of Eagan, passed away Friday, August 18th, 2017 in her home. She was born to Daniel Gray and Margery Dickinson on October 31st, 1929. Growing up she worked at her family’s creamery in Lorain, Ohio. Jane attended Lorain High School before earning an Associates of Arts from Larson College. Jane married Samuel Spencer Rockwood in 1951 in San Diego. Jane was an animal lover. She volunteered at the Minnesota Zoo; she was very excited reaching 1000 volunteer hours and getting to feed the beluga whales. Her love of animals translated into her personal life as well as she was a proud dog, cat, and fish owner. She was an active member of Epiphany church washing vestments and helping patrons get to services. Jane was a lovely matriarch and will be missed dearly. Jane leaves a legacy of her daughter, Ann Rockwood; son, Scott Rockwood; and granddaughter Tess Rockwood (TJ Hoag).
