We are sad to announce the passing of Jane Fumiko Shioji of Sunset, Utah. She died at age 98 on July 20, 2022. Jane (Fumi) passed away surrounded by her loved ones.
Jane (Fumi) was born on September 30, 1923 in Vacaville Junction, CA. She later moved to Sunset, Utah where she married Hiroshi Shioji and raised her two sons Carl and Gary Shioji.
Jane (Fumi) enjoyed gardening, reading books and spending time with her family. Family was everything to Jane (Fumi). She cared for all her five siblings, two sons, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews with such love and compassion.
Her big heart, infectious laugh and beautiful smile will be missed. She was a strong and amazing woman that we all looked up to. She will forever have an lasting impact on all of us.
Jane (Fumi) is survived by her son Carl Shioji, her three granddaughters Tara (Rick) Miller, Tana (Anthony) Christensen, Kari (Ryan) Olsen, and six great grandchildren, brother George Inouye and sister Miyoko Takushi.
