Jane E. Spencer, 93, of Westminster, died Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the BridgingLife Dove House. Born May 4, 1929 in Bird Hill, she was the daughter of the late William E. Davis and Pearl Shipley Davis. Her husband Ralph “Skeets” Spencer, Sr. died January 28, 2000.
In her younger years she was a secretary at Citgo. She graduated from Westminster High School and was a member of Deer Park United Methodist Church in Smallwood, the United Methodist Women and Feed My Sheep at the church, honorary member of the Gamber and Community Volunteer Fire Department and Golden Agers. She worked at the carnivals and dinners at the Fire Dept. and volunteered at the Westminster Nursing Home.
She enjoyed the simple life of watching birds, the deer, mowing and gardening.
She is survived by three children Ralph H. Spencer Jr. of Westminster; Raymond “Bo” Spencer and wife Denise of Westminster; and JoAnn Bell and husband William of Littlestown, PA; 4 grandchildren Jodi Spencer, Josh Spencer, Jenny and Greg Mastalerz, Amy and Scott Hamilton, 5 great-grandchildren Renee, Willa, Liliana, Wren and Tyler.
She was predeceased by her sister Ruth E. Saylor and brother Raymond Davis.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
