Muncie – Jane (Brummett) Hulse, Jane was born Edna Jane Brummett, May 15, 1925, to Anna T. Greene and David S. Brummett in Rockwood, Tennessee. She attended schools in Rockwood and then Muncie, and also attended Purdue University for Restaurant Management.

During her business years, Jane and her late husband John E. Hulse owned and operated Marhoffer Cafeteria, Hulse Catering, Acme Lee Cafeteria and they were responsible for the original KFC’s in Muncie. Most recently Jane was involved in the operation of Bruner’s Restaurant where she met and maintained many old friendships.

Jane and John were world travelers, but had their best times fishing with friends at Dale Hollow Lake.

Jane was a fifty year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, past member of Deland Golf Course, Delaware Country Club, Green Hills Country Club, ABWA, Fez-Mates, and the Red Hat Society of Halteman Villas.

In addition to her husband, and parents, Jane was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Terry, Helen Pierce, Madge Simmers, Faye Greer, and brother, Earl Brummett.

She is survived by her special niece, Linda Beckham, (husband-Chad), Muncie; a stepson, Phil Hulse, (wife-Julie), Overland Park, Kansas; two step-granddaughters, Michelle Johnson, and Jennifer Parnham; one step-grandson, Tom Harris, (wife-Beth), Muncie; two nephews, Kenneth Terry, Rockwood, Tennessee, Larry Threet, Lexington, South Carolina; and several great nieces and nephews all over the United States.
