Jana Nicole Abney
Saluda, SC: JANA NICOLE ABNEY, the youngest child of Bobby Lee and Brenda Faye Moon Abney, was born at Self Memorial Hospital, Greenwood, SC on September 11, 1985. She transitioned from this life into eternal rest, Monday, September 18, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
At an early age she joined Reedy Branch Baptist Church where she sang on the Youth Choir and served as a Youth Usher. She also attended Pine Pleasant CME Church during special events and she was a watch-care member at U Turn For Christ Ministries Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. of Greenville, SC.
She was a 2003 graduate of Saluda High School and furthered her studies at USC Spartanburg. Jana worked as a Pharmacy Tech at Wal-Mart. She loved creating crafts and making jewelry.
Jana was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Lee Abney, Il, and her maternal grandparents, Madison Sr. and Annie Lee (Josie Mae) Williams; paternal grandfather, O. Z. Hair and other relatives.
Through Jana’s sickness, Jana kept living and being Jana. She will be remembered for having a big heart and a sweet spirit.
She leaves a legacy of love and memories to: her parents, Bobby L and Brenda M. Abney of the home; sister, LaKeisha Abney of Greenville, SC, and her nephew, lzayah Abney also of Greenville, SC; her paternal grandmother, Willie Mae Abney Hair of Irmo, SC; God-parents, William and Belinda White; God son, Seer Green; step-sister, Retha Hair, step-brother, Randy Hair, God-sisters, Destine White and Dekara Heath, God-brothers, Justin Heath and Jonathan Heath; aunts and uncles; John L Williams, Mary (Kenny) Washington, Sylvia (Kenny) Johnson, Jack Rhinehart, Rosalyn Rhone, Diana Stephens, Christine Reeder, Sandra (Coley) Jackson, Madison (Delores) Williams, Willie (Annie Pearl) Moon, Mattie Moon, Patricia (Louis) Coleman, Vernell (John) Williams, Cassandra Cannon, Jerry Coleman, Alice A. Abney and Darlene (Timothy) Johnson; extended grandparents, Charles Nichols and family; other close relatives and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly
