DEERFIELD – Jan. L. Sell Poirrier, 61, of Deerfield, passed away on Oct. 20, 2012 at the home of her sister Kathie Whitehead surrounded by her loved ones after a short illness. Jan was born on March 3, 1951, the daughter of Lloyd and Lois (Beitler) Sell and graduated from Salem High School Class of 1969. She lived in Florida with her husband Don, whom she married March 27, 1984, for 25 years before returning to the area. She worked as a bookkeeper for Palm Beach Staffing. Jan is survived by her son, John Dustin and his wife Tamara (Montgomery) Salvino along with granddaughters Victoria (Tori) and Johnna Salvino. Also surviving her are her brother David (Connie) Sell of Belleville, Ohio; three sisters, Kathie (Nelson) Whitehead and Barb (John) Girscht, both of Deerfield, Ohio and Pam (Doug) Speece of North Jackson, Ohio; and Uncle Richard Sell of Alliance, Ohio; along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews who will miss her dearly. The love Jan had for her son Dustin and daughter-in-law Tamara was immeasurable. She loved spending time with her granddaughters, the loves of her life, having long talks with Tori and playing with Johnna. She shared a passion for Berlin Lake with her sister Barb that they inherited from their father and you could find them boating and jet skiing all summer long. Jan and her sister Pam spent many hours doing their favorite thing which was shopping and antiquing for hours on end. Jan and her sister Kathie had a passion for gardening and were always swapping seeds and talking about new plants for the next season. A vivid memory she shared was picking strawberries with her brother Dave when they were children to earn a little pocket change. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lois (Beitler) Sell and her husband Don Poirrier.
