James William Morris, 85, passed away May 24, 2015 in Miller County, Georgia, with his loving family at his side. He was born July 4, 1929 in Westminster, South Carolina, to the late Robert Morris and Latha Belle Spearman Morris.

He was a self employed painter and carpenter, and had faithfully served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Woodville First Baptist Church and he loved the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing. Most importantly, he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Brennetta Morris; children, Debbie Council (Mike) Council, Jimmy Morris, Larry Morris (Kathy), Craig Morris (Jean); grandchildren, Amy Robillard (Jamie), John Council (Dana), Mike Council (Jenn), Wayne Morris (Sheana), Shawn Morris, Kelli Percy (Jason), Kyle Morris (Rebekah), Crystal Kuntz; eleven great-grandchildren; and his brother, Andrew Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Seston Council.
