James Will Burgess (Butch), 64, of Augusta, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2018. He was born July 1, 1954, in Newnan, Georgia, the son of Audrey Burgess and the late Bonnie Burgess. He is the oldest of three siblings. Butch dedicated his life to his children and his career. He was employed by Southern Company as a nuclear mechanic for over 40 years; retiring earlier this year. He is survived by his mother, Audrey Burgess; brother, Robert Burgess; sister, Quin Burgess-Lazzara; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Susan Burgess of Senoia, Georgia; daughter, Bonnie Burgess-Looper of Newnan, Georgia; six grandchildren, Blaike, Kathryn, Elizabeth, Robert, Arden and Eason. He was preceded in death by his father, Bonnie Burgess and a brother, Robin Burgess.
