James W. Williamson, 91, of 267 Sawmill Road, Cogan Station, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at his daughter’s home in Muncy Valley.

Jim and his wife, the former Virginia R. Dangle, celebrated their 68th anniversary on December 24, 2010.

Jim retired in 1984 after 44 years with the former E. Keeler Supply Division on West Third Street, and was an Army veteran of World War II where he served with the last mounted Calvary unit before it was disbanded. He was a former member of the Lycoming Creek Lions Club and spent the last 24 winters in Florida.

Born January 25, 1919 in Picture Rocks, he was the son of Walter W. and Maude Harding Williamson.

Surviving besides his wife, are a daughter, Cynthia Ann Rine of Muncy Valley; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.

Jim was predeceased by a son, James F. Williamson and three brothers.
