James W. Smith Sr., 62, passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2019. He was born February 24, 1957 in California.
He was a 1975 graduate of Warren Central High School and a member of the United States Army, where he served for two years. Survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Anne, his sisters, Sharon Taylor and Denise McDonald, and his three children, Jim Jr. (Adrienne), Craig (Jessi), and Amanda (Justin). He deeply loved and cherished his grandchildren, Darian, Kiersten, Devon, Ava, Jaxen, Kailee, Derek, and Finleigh (due November 2019.)
He was best known for his wit, sarcasm, spunk, his love for boating at Lake Monroe, camping with all his Knightridge family, and always “Hang’n Loose.”
