James W. Rohrback, 87, Anderson, died July 18, 2008, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus-Anderson after an extended illness.

He was born on January 7, 1921, in Henry County, and resided in Anderson. Jim retired in 1981 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 40 years of service in the engineering dept. He served with the United States Army Airforce during World War II. He was a member of Honey Creek United Methodist Church and the American Legion, and the V.F.W. in Anderson Survivors include his “adopted” daughter, Joann Smith of Knightstown; several special cousins; aunt, Mary Alice & husband, James Baker of Iowa; special friends, Corrine Rector of Anderson, Bob & Tina Provost, and Rex & June Slick, both of Middletown. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Bethany Pointe and all the wonderful caregivers and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, whom he married July 7, 1945, June Rector Rohrback; and parents, William T. & Mina Mauck Rorhback Services will be Monday, July 21, 2008, at 10:00 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, with Rev. Tim Rasmussen and Rev. Cindy Upchurch officiating.
