James V. Stracke Jr., 59, of Ferndale; beloved husband of Jayne; devoted father of James V. Stracke III and his fiancée, Lauren, Brittany Stracke and her fiancé, Kevin, Danielle Stracke and Rachel Stracke; cherished son of Kathleen and James V. Stracke Sr; adored son-in-law to Nancy and Huck Knight; and dear brother of Lori Clyburn, Vicki Hertz, Tommy Stracke, Allan Stracke, Paul Stracke and John Stracke.
Jim worked for the Linthicum Post Office for 42 years as everyone’s favorite mailman. He enjoyed being an active member of the community as a coach, philanthropist and community coordinator. He was an avid member of the Ferndale Community Club.
He loved all sporting events, especially Orioles games and Ravens games with his family and friends. He was a kind, fun loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all, who never failed to put a smile on your face.
Jim was actively involved and helped tremendously in the planning and organizing of Ferndale Day, Movie Nights and the Ferndale Christmas Tree Lighting.
