James V. Caputo, Jr., 68, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, July 8th. He was the husband of the late Gail (Aspinwall) Caputo.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James V. and Anna F. (Aucone) Caputo.
He was employed by the 271 Laborers’ Union at Twin River Casino and kept Twin’s Pizza clean, for many years. He had an uncanny ability to fix anything and a stellar work ethic. There was never a dull moment with “Big Jim”. His carefree singing and far-fetched stories kept every occasion lively and entertaining.
He is survived by three children, Jamie Lynn Caputo, Kimberly Ann Caputo, and James Michael Caputo; a sister, Janet Caputo Stone; two grandchildren, Maria Elena Florio and Jayden Jeremy Lima; and three great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Veronica, and Matthew Blinkhorn.
