Mr. James Thomas “Jimmy” Kittrell, 68, of State Line, MS passed from this life Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in State Line, MS on Tuesday, July 20, 1954 to Louis Nathaniel Kittrell, Sr. and Doris Kittrell Douglas.
He retired as a Consultant in the Oil Field. Jimmy was a graduate of Buckatunna High School and lifelong resident of State Line, Ms. On a beautiful day, October 27, 1980, Jimmy married the love of this life, his best friend and confidant, June Kittrell.
Many fathers, especially those with only daughters, long for a son. They hope the men their girls marry will want to spend time with them and develop a friendship. Jimmy was blessed with his sons-in-law Darren and Casey. With Casey came 2 more grandsons Chase and Jarret, that Jimmy was so thankful that Jaxson had two brothers to help watch over him. Jimmy also was honored to have a son he never had Shawn which also blessed him again with another daughter Jeanene and three boys Cade Cole, Blake, and Michaela.
Mr. Kittrell is preceded in death by his father. Louis Nathaniel Kittrell, Sr.; mother, Doris Kittrell Douglas; three brothers, L. N. Kittrell, Jr., Dewey Kittrell, Charles Kittrell. He is survived by wife, June Kittrell of State Line, MS; two daughters, Jaime Kittrell Welch (Darren) of Hattiesburg, MS, Jennifer Kittrell Goff (Casey) of Wade, MS; brother, David Kittrell; four sisters, Sue Henderson (Waynis) of Fruitdale, AL, Sissy Carr (Fred) of Buckatunna, MS, Alice Lott of Oak Grove, MS, Cynthia Sparks of Petal, MS; Sister-In-Law, Pauline Kittrell of State Line, MS; two Brothers-In-Law, Benny West (Judy) of Waynesboro, MS, Gary West (Theresa) of Greensboro, NC; four grandsons, Jaxson Kittrell, Finley Welch, Chase Goff, Jarrett Goff.
