James “Sully” E. Sullivan, 90, of Silver Ridge Park West section of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Staten Island, NY, he was a resident to Toms River from 1968 until moving to Berkeley Twp. 13 years ago. He served in the US Army during WWII, serving in the 11th Airborne. Sully attended Wagner University and graduated from NYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He was a CPA and owner of Sullivan and Sullivan Accounting in Toms River for 20 years.
Sully also worked for the Toms River Regional School System in the Capital Projects Department for 10 years and served as a Financial Officer for St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. He was also a member of the New Jersey State Track and Field Officials Association. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Evelyn Sullivan, his brother and sister in law Walter and Annarae Sullivan and two grandsons Jason and Joey. Sully is survived by his wife of 45 years, Roberta Sullivan; his five children James Sullivan of Toms River, Linda Czarnik and her husband Walter of Toms River, Patricia Engrassia and her husband Joseph of Toms River, John Sullivan and his wife Karen of Brick, NJ, Richard Sullivan of Toms River; three step children Kevin Mulford and his wife Mary of Forked River, NJ, Kent Mulford and his wife Dorothy of Toms River and Karen Mulford of Toms River; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
