James Steele Bowles, age 77, went home to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in Cincinnati. Jim was born December 17, 1941, in Kalamazoo the son of the late Harry and Edith (Slater) Bowles.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Bowles. Jim was an active member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon and Youth Leader. Jim was instrumental in developing a program in downtown Cincinnati for feeding the homeless. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Jim is survived by his brother, Thomas (Julie) Bowles; nephews, Chad (Maria) Bowles, and Matt Bowles (Erin Shrauger); great nieces, Ashley, Gracie, and Bailey Bowles; and special friend, Rick (Kimberly) Payne.
