James “Jim” Frank Smith, age 64, of Bode passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa. Jim was born on March 15, 1951 in Waterloo, Iowa to William Thomas and Bonita Vawn (Olson) Smith. He graduated from Terranova High School in 1955. Jim was then accepted into San Francisco State University Kumilati where he graduated with a four year degree. Jim was self-employed through his own construction business. He loved his Harley and enjoyed the open road. Jim is survived by his children: William Smith (Lisa) and Jaydn, Lisandra and Lilian of Livermore; Colton (Amber) Smith and Hailey, Isabelle and Anabelle of Livermore; Joclyn Smith (Phillip) of Clear Lake and Lily and Bonnie Smith of Texas; father, William Smith of Bode; siblings: brother Jeff Smith of Illinois; sister Jody McClure of Bode; sister Jill (Greg) Lempke of Livermore and sister Jackie (Brent) Foth of Livermore; nieces and nephews: Zach, Caleb, Isach, Jake, Jessy, Adam, Jenna, Kaley, Clint & Cassie and many other numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonita Smith; uncles, Maurice Olson and Jim Voss and aunts, Pat Olson and Betty Gronbach.
