James Shocker, 83, Markleville, died February 28, 2008 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness.
He was born July 25, 1924 in Denhoff, North Dakota, and resided in Markleville. He lived in Madison County since 1960. James was a truck driver and carpenter and served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of the Pendleton American Legion.
He is survived by his children, Mary Arbuckle, Linda Nash and Rodney Shocker. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Shocker in 1989 and his parents, Adam & Mary Rehul Schacher.
