James Senanefes, age 84, of Salem died at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Hospice House in Poland. He was born June 17, 1928 in Salem the son of the late Nicholas and Helen (Tsafouridis) Senanefes. Jim worked for the Sekely Tool and Die as a machinist and a die maker for 20 years retiring in 1995 and previously he worked for Salem Valve. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Youngstown. During the Korean War he served in the U. S. Army. Jim loved golfing and bowling. Survivors include his wife, Chryssanthi “Noula” (Kefala) Senanefes, whom he married July 31, 1960; a daughter, Christine A. Senanefes of Columbus; a son, Michael G. (Misty) Senanefes of Columbus;; 2 brothers, Charles (Ann) Senanefes of Lisbon and Dean (Barbara) Senanefes of Salem and 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Zachary. A brother, Thomas Senanefes and a sister, Kathryn Kuzma also preceded him in death.
