On Saturday, November 2, 2013, God called James home from Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus. He was born to the late Thomas Lee and Louise Goodlow Seals on October 13, 1953 in Lawrence County, AL. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Wheeler Chapel Church.
James was a devoted caregiver for Mrs. Jane Thomas who he loved dearly and was a faithful employee of Thomas Townhouse Galleries for many years. James enjoyed life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Thomas Lee Seals; his mother, Louise Goodlow Seals; grandsons, Andrew Allen and Antonio Oneal; sister, Lilly Mae Cox and brother, Frank Seals.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Pamela Seals Deloney (Mann Pettway) of Decatur; one son, Darius (Lisa) Seals of Russellville; one devoted friend, Henrietta Massey of Decatur; five grandchildren, Demetrick Young, Kallysta Kilpatrick, Taylon Seals, Alex Seals and Jackson Seals; siblings, Pearlie Mae (Robert Jr.) Swoope of Chattanooga, TN, Thomas, Seals of Hillsboro, Claudy (Nancy) Seals of Courtland, Winford (Marilyn) Seals of Leighton, Clara Louise Davis of Gary, IN, Grace L. Seals and Doris N. (Bruce) Hampton both of Decatur, Clyde (Marquette) Seals Jr. of Chicago, IL, Robert Earl Seals of Courtland and Glenn (Gina) Seals of Chattanooga, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
