Rev. James (Jim) Russell Temple, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Medora surrounded by his loving family on April 11, 2018.

Jim was born in Medora on December 11, 1943, to the late Rev. Albert and Regina (McClintock) Temple.  On December 25, 1970, in Bloomington, Indiana he married Martha (Stanton), Temple. 

Jim was a loving father and Papaw.  He served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Saratoga.  He was a retired truck driver after 44 years.  He drove for Moon Freight Lines out of Bloomington and ABF Freight from Kingman, AZ, and Cincinnati, OH.  He was a member of Local 135, 104 and 100 of the Teamsters Union.  He also worked at Bundy Bros and for many local farmers to keep him occupied after retirement.  His major passion was talking on the CB radio and was known as Rev. Mister Black.  He was an avid reader and traveler he never met a stranger and was known for bringing joy to many peoples lives.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, sons; James (Katie) Temple and Richard Temple; daughters: Amy Temple, Angela Temple, and Elizabeth (Andrew) Ault; brothers: Dennis (Kendra) Temple and Paul (Shelia) Temple; sisters: Wanda (Robert) Stabler, Cheryl Underwood, Charlotte Brewer, Becky (Tom) Davidson, and Theresa Temple; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Susie Huffman
