James Russell Ellis affectionately known as “Ball” of Greensboro, MD departed this life on Sunday, December 16, 2018. He was the son of the late Rosella Ellis of North Carolina and John Ellis of Norfolk, VA. James was born on March 26, 1946 in North Carolina.
James was educated in Talbot County Public Schools. He was employed at Swan Farms for many years. James love taking things apart and saving cans. He was a loving brother.
James is survived by his two daughters; Sheila Danian of Norfolk, VA and Julia Ellis of Ahoskie, NC, a special daughter, Shirley Raikes of DE, two brothers; George Ellis of Greensboro, MD and William Ellis (Sharon) of Camden, NJ, four sisters; Eleanora Pierce (James) of Norfolk, VA, Gloria Pritchett of Wilmington, DE, Katie Stanford of Federalsburg, MD, and Shirley Ellis of Hurlock, MD, two special friends; Nick Blake and Elizabeth Pernell, and a very special friend, Tonlina Harris, a sister-n-law; Mary Ellis, special cousins; Outland, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Rosella and John Ellis, one sister, Ella Johnson and one brother, John Henry Ellis.
