James Roger Ratcliffe, age 79, passed away peacefully at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was born in Waynesville, NC on September 7, 1942, to the late James Way Ratcliffe and Selma Clark Ratcliffe.
Along with his parents, Roger as he was known by friends and family, is preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Ratcliffe and his wife Shirley; sister, Chrystelle Fergusen and her husband Wayne. Roger is survived by his wife, Joyce Mitchell Ratcliffe; son, James “Steven” Ratcliffe and his wife Natalivette. He is also survived by his only grandchild, James “Luis” Ratcliffe, sister-in-law, Carol Mitchell Adkins and her husband Ralph, and numerous nieces and nephews.
