James Robert McKinney (“Jim”) was born November 1, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to Margaret and Ewing James William McKinney, and passed away surrounded by his family on March 7, 2018.
Jim’s humor, wit, and charm were impossible to miss by those who knew him and will be dearly missed by those whose lives he deeply touched. Above all, Jim’s love and devotion for his wife Martha, for his sons and family defined him.
Jim is survived by his most loving wife of 54 years Martha McKinney, son Robert “Bob” McKinney and wife Melissa, son Mark McKinney and wife Melanie; his grandchildren Lauren Settle, Matthew McKinney and wife Baylee, and Abby McKinney; and great granddaughter Ellie Settle.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Margaret McKinney and Colonel Ewing James William McKinney (USAF Retired), and his sister Marilyn Koeller.
