June 6, 1943 – February 22, 2016
James Robert “Bob” Inman, 72, of Boerne, Texas, passed away on February 22, 2016, peacefully in his sleep.
Bob was born to Ellis “Duke” Inman and Cora Inman in Craig County, Oklahoma on June 6, 1943. Growing up on the family farm shaped his work ethic; can-do attitude; and his love of hunting, dogs, tractors and agriculture. After graduating from Centralia High School, he went on to attend Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Oklahoma State University and the University of Missouri. Bob had a long and distinguished career as an engineer with the U.S. Government where he was known for exemplifying the words, “Don’t complain, don’t explain, don’t say nothing bad about nobody.”
To his surviving mother, Cora Inman, he was an ideal son and “almost always” a good boy. To his wife of 48 years, Sharyle Feddersen Inman, he was a loving companion. To his daughter, Brit Inman Swanson, he was an empowering and adoring father, who took delight in keeping her toolbox fully stocked. To his grandchildren, Cameron and Braeden, he was their doting PawPaw, good at turning any moment, like a game of Monopoly, into an instructional life lesson.
