James Robert Holbrooks, 79, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 19th, 2014. Born in Duluth, GA, he was the son of the late James Everett and Laura Holbrooks. Mr Holbrooks is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Joyce Holbrooks, and sisters, Vera Mae Chatham, and Sandra Grace Wallace. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by sisters; Betty Ann Cook of Dallas, GA, Eleanor (Ben) Cowart of Lawrencville, GA, brothers; Lewis (Sandra) Holbrooks of Auburn, GA, George (Evelyn) Holbrooks of Lawrencville, GA, brother-in-laws; Robert Chatham of Grayson, GA, David Wallace of Lawrencville, GA, sons; Jack Holbrooks of Dawsonville, GA, Danny (Judy) Holbrooks of Dawsonville, GA, Timothy Wayne (Cindy) Holbrooks of Murrayville GA, grandson; Jeremy Leigh (Amanda) Holbrooks of Dahlonega, GA, granddaughters Angelique Holbrooks of Dawsonville, GA, and Shannon Holbrooks of Dawsonville, GA,great-grandsons; Timothy Earl and Trevor James of Cumming, GA, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members.
