James Robert Boyett, 69, of Batesville, passed from this walk of life on August 24, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on September 6, 1950 to Charles W. and Cherry Katherine (Daughtry) Boyett.

James worked in the janitorial business for hardware stores and schools.  He was most known for his wonderful painting ability.  He would paint various pictures for those in the hospital. Several of his paintings can be seen at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was a member of the WRMC Art Board and was a volunteer for the hospital.

James was a member of the 20th Street Baptist Church.

James is survived by his wife, Deloris “Dodie” of Batesville; son, James R. Boyett, II and wife Donna, of Huntsville; daughter, Catrina Hess and husband, Chuck of Batesville; brothers, J.D. Boyett  and wife Leatha, of Salado, Jimmy Boyett and wife Barbie of Batesville; sisters, Martha Gould of Batesville, Judy Frolos of Cave City; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Kay Moore and Lilly Gates, and a brother in-law, Joe Gould.
