James Riley ”Whitey” Chambers, 83, Anderson, died November 26, 2004, at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness. He was born August 11, 1921, in Elk Valley, Tennessee, and resided in Anderson, Indiana.

He lived in this area since 1950. He retired in 1986 from the Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 35 years of service. He served his country in the US Navy in WWII. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Destroyer Holiday Rambler Club #57.

He is survived by his wife whom he married on November 28, 1947: Norma Brown Chambers. Two Sons: Gerald & wife Marla Chambers of North Carolina. Jeffrey Chambers of Anderson. Brother: Billy & wife Dorothy Pearl Chambers of San Diego, California. Two Grandchildren: Michael Chambers and Mackenzie Chambers.

He was preceded by his Parents: Venus & Rachel Wyatt Chambers. Son: Gregory W. Chambers.
