Rev. James Albert Richie, age 73, of Newnan, GA passed gently into his Lord and Savior’s arms on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Rev. Richie was born in Louisville, KY on Wednesday, January 20, 1943, to the late Roscoe and Mildred Rogers Richie. He served his life ministering the Word of God and was a faithful member of Hoosier Memorial United Methodist Church.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Harris Cotten. He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Richie; children, Anthony Brian Richie, Bradford (Deann) Rogers Richie, and Jana (Melvin) Richie Young; grandchildren, Bilal Sidiq Richie, Karim Idris Richie, Mia Imani Richie, Justin Kyle Young, Jada Alise Young, Amaya Anne Young, and Shelby Divine Richie. He also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Darryl Cotton.
