James R Wolfe of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022.
James was raised in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania and enjoyed many years there with his loving family and friends. James, at an early age, was an accomplished piano player, actor and singer performing in local restaurants and theaters.
His mother was very special to him and her love of cooking for the local nuns created a lifelong passion in the culinary arts for him.
In the early part of James’s career, he worked for US Steel in Pittsburgh and was subsequently transferred to the Metropolitan NYC area. In 1986, he met his future husband Rob and they located to Boca Raton, FL in 1987.
Their life together was colorful, loving, happy and full of travel, Broadway plays, scrumptious meals, enjoyable happy hours and loving memories.
While in Boca Raton, James was able to continue performing and advanced his culinary art skills at Johnson & Wales University. At the same time he had a fulfilling career at NCCI, heading up communications, corporate events and facility management.
Both James and Rob had a love affair with Key West, renting and then owning their dream home on the Island for many years.
James is survived by his husband Rob Ames and their two cats, Savannah and Kallie, his sister-in-law Jean Wolfe, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Of course, James is also survived by countless loving friends and know that he loved all of you more than his luggage.
