James (Jim) Richard Callaway passed away on August 28, 2018 in Melbourne, Florida.
Jim was born in Mesa, Arizona to Gary and Nancy Callaway on August 20, 1966. He attended Satellite High School and went on to attend college at both the University of Florida and University of Central Florida. He was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and graduated from UCF in May 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He started his career at Q-bit Corporation and ended as an Engineering Manager of the Melbourne Design Center at API Technologies. He married Dawn Iverson on August 30, 1997 and they were together 24 heartfelt years.
He adored his entire family, numerous friends, the Florida Gators, attending his children’s various sports activities, fishing, and watching the sunset at the beach.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Callaway and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his immediate family: wife Dawn, sons Jack, Jarez Parks, daughter Taylor, and family dog Rupert. His father Gary, brothers Michael and Scotty, sisters Debbie Lightle and Meg Fernandez who will lovingly think of him often. Also, included are his parents in-law, brother and sister in-laws, nine nieces and nephews as well as many other family members and close friends who loved him.
