James was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1928. He attended college and earned his Master’s Degree in History. For 24 years he was a member of the United States Army. During his service, he earned the rank of Master Sergeant and was a member of the Field Band. He was later a History Teacher at Arundel Senior High School. He was a musician and loved music. He enjoyed many hobbies in life including fly fishing, photography and shopping. He also loved history.
