Born Feb. 22, 1936, in Qulin, Mo., he was the son of H.F. and Wanda Bristow Black.
Roy had been employed at Muehlhausen Brothers Spring in Logansport. He enjoyed fishing and especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are sons, Donald (Stacey) Black, Logansport, James (Mandi) Black, and Jerry (Amy) Black, all of Peru; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
