James Robert Lowry III passed away at his residence in Scottsdale, Arizona on August 22, 2021, at the age of 57. He was mostly known as “Jim” or “Jimmy.” A beloved father, partner, son, and friend, he is survived by his daughters, Kacey Hoyer, Kathryn Shae Schneider, Camryn Lowry; his grandchildren, Beau Schneider, Riley Schneider, Callie Schneider; his fiancé, Betsy Serrano; his sister, Michelle Lowry Macfarlane, and brother, Jon Lowry. He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Lowry, Jr; mother, Marilyn Jeppson Lowry Choules; and his sisters, Jena and Denise Lowry. Jim was born December 12, 1963, in Miami, Florida where he grew up with his four siblings. He moved to Arizona with his family in 1978 where he attended Arcadia High School. After graduating in 1982, he attended Arizona State University where he was a part of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and where he graduated B.A. in Communications.
Jim had a well- known and respected career in sales. He paid attention to detail; he valued being organized; he was always striving to improve in every aspect of his life. His passions in life were hiking, the restoration of vintage vehicles, hunting, music, and supporting his family in every way. He can also be described as a “goofball.” He made people smile and laugh whenever he could. He also found the light in any situation. He was a dedicated father. He taught his daughters how to succeed in life and was supportive along the way. He was always there to answer a question or give advice. He wanted not only his family, but everyone around him, to live up to their best potential. Jim was proud of the life he had built. His memory will forever live on in all of our hearts.
“People want to know how much you care not how much you know or have.” (A quote he loved).
