James R. Edgell, 55, of Laurel Lane, Clarksburg, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Edgell was a meat cutter by trade and was last employed with Foodland in Parkersburg. He was born in Clarksburg on August 25, 1954, a son of the late Theodore R. and Virginia M. McGary Edgell. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Catherine Harden Edgell; three sisters, Betty Lott and her husband Michael David, Parkersburg, Luella Wolford and John, Clarksburg, and Diane Skidmore and her husband Joe, Clarksburg; one brother, Rick Edgell and his wife Kim, Clarksburg; special aunt, Eva McGary, Stonewood; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, Fred harden, Morgantown, Sandra and Ed Rial, New Martinsville, Belinda and Cliff Nichols, Fairmont, Patricia and James Cottrill, Clarksburg, Karen Fox, SC, and Ron Mayle, Clarksburg; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Edgell served with the National Guard and was a U.S. Navy Veteran having received full disability. He was also a recent member of the Arlington Lions Club, the Stonewood VFD and was a big 49ers fan. Mr. Edgell enjoyed being with his family and friends. He loved his Lord, life, and fought very hard to stay with us, especially his wife, Catherine.
