James “Pete” Frederick Priest 79 of Clinton passed away on Mar 23, 2011 in
Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born on Mar 29, 1931 in Clinton to
the Clinton Boat Club. He was an Iron Worker for the Local #439 and later the
#22. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, deer hunting, playing cards, sitting at the
river and Dairy Queen.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rita Lou Fink Priest, sisters
Phoebe Helton, Eva Mae Runyan, Tootsie Laznik and a brother Bill Priest.
He is survived by a son George & Dianne Priest of Brazil, daughters; Mary & Tom
Robinson of St. Bernice, Jackie & Pete Jackson of Blanford and Margaret Sanders of
Clinton. Eight grandchildren: Amie Kite, Pete Jackson, Dustin Jackson, David Priest,
Melissa Rukesberry, Jason Priest, Jennifer Hargrave, Samantha Smith and Nine great
grandchildren. A sister Virginia Capps of Mecca and several nieces and nephews.
