Prospect – Mr. James Joseph “Flaco” Pekar, age 65, of Prospect, passed away Friday July 3, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the long time companion of Evelyn Pepe of Prospect.
Mr. Pekar was born in Bridgeport on April 6, 1950 a son of the late Frederick and Barbara (Landry) Pekar. He worked for many years as an auto mechanic at Montambault’s in Waterbury, enjoyed playing pool and was former member of a pool league.
Mr. Pekar was a United States Navy veteran having proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Pekar is survived by a daughter: Vicki Lea Pekar of Stratford, two sisters: Patricia Maietto of Stratford and Lynn Whaley and her husband John Whaley, Sr. of Stratford, two brothers: William Pekar of Shelton and Thomas Pekar of Shelton, a granddaughter: Morgan Stockheimer of Prospect and several nieces and nephews.
